What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It allows the website to remember certain information, such as your preferences or the progress of a booking.
The cookies we use
The Thermopro website uses a very limited number of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies: session cookie and security token (XSRF-TOKEN), essential for the contact and booking forms to work. They are deleted when you close your browser or after 2 hours.
- Preference cookie: remembers your choice regarding cookies (stored locally in your browser).
- Audience measurement cookies (Google Analytics): only if you accept them. They allow us to know the number of visitors and the pages viewed in order to improve the website. IP addresses are anonymised.
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads): only if you accept them. They allow us to measure the effectiveness of our Google ads (for example knowing that a booking, call or message follows an ad). When you book, your email and phone number may be sent to Google in encrypted (hashed) form for this sole purpose.
Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are based on our legitimate interest in providing you with the service you have requested. Audience measurement cookies are only placed with your prior consent, in accordance with the Belgian Law of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications and with the GDPR.
Managing your preferences
You can change your choice at any time via the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page. You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies; some features of the website may then no longer work properly.
Retention period
- Session cookies: until the browser is closed (2 hours maximum)
- Cookie preference: 12 months
- Google Analytics: 13 months maximum
- Google Ads: 90 days
